By accessing or using Lycos Jobs (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Lycos Jobs is an AI-powered job search and application tracking platform. The Service provides:

• Real-time job search powered by Google Jobs via SerpApi
• AI-powered resume parsing and job fit scoring
• An application pipeline tracker
• AI-assisted resume building and optimization tools

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

To access certain features of the Service, you must sign in using a valid Google account. By doing so, you represent that:

• You are at least 13 years of age
• The information you provide is accurate and current
• You will maintain the security of your account
• You will notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Upload content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or harmful
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or data-mine the Service in an automated manner without our express written consent
• Use the Service to spam, harass, or harm other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Transmit malware, viruses, or other malicious code

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account for any violation of these terms.

You retain ownership of any content you upload to the Service, including your resume and profile information ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant Lycos Jobs a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You represent and warrant that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights and that you have all rights necessary to grant the above license.

The Service uses artificial intelligence (OpenAI) to generate resume suggestions, job fit scores, and other outputs. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
• AI outputs are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional career advice
• You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before relying on it

The Service integrates with and links to third-party services including Google Jobs, SerpApi, and OpenAI. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

Job listings displayed on Lycos Jobs are sourced from Google Jobs via SerpApi. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any job listing. We are not a party to any employment relationship between you and any employer.

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and design — are the exclusive property of Lycos Jobs or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not guarantee employment outcomes or the accuracy of job matching results.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LYCOS JOBS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lycos Jobs and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in California.

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 survive termination.
