Lycos Jobs Autofill - Chrome Extension – Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Lycos Jobs Autofill browser extension (the "Extension") handles your information. The Extension is provided by Lycos, Inc. ("we," "our," or "us") as a free companion to jobs.lycos.com. It is available in the Chrome Web Store at https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/lycos-jobs-autofill/mfhpoedjpbdccggdibojbknpnlcgckgm.

This policy covers the Extension only. Your use of the jobs.lycos.com website is covered by the Lycos Jobs Privacy Policy at https://jobs.lycos.com/privacy-policy.

• The details and resume you save in the Extension are stored only in your own browser, on your own device.
• The Extension never sends your information to us or to anyone else. It can copy your own details and resume from your Lycos Jobs account into your browser, so you do not have to type them.
• The Extension has no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
• You can delete everything at any time.

The Extension stores only what you choose to enter on its profile page:

• Contact details: first name, last name, email address, phone number.
• Address: street address, city, state or province, ZIP or postal code, country.
• Work details: current job title, current company, and links to your LinkedIn, GitHub and portfolio or website.
• Common application answers: whether you are authorized to work and whether you need visa sponsorship.
• Your resume file.
• One setting: whether to show the Autofill button on job application pages.

All of these are optional.

Your information is saved in Chrome's local extension storage on your device. It is not synced to your other devices. If you upload your resume on jobs.lycos.com while signed in, the Extension copies the contact details read from that resume, and the resume file, from your Lycos Jobs account into this local storage. The copy held by the website is covered by the Lycos Jobs Privacy Policy. Details you type or change in the Extension itself stay in your browser and are not sent back to Lycos Jobs.

Your information is used for one purpose: filling in job application forms when you ask the Extension to do so.

When you click "Autofill with Lycos Jobs" or "Fill this page," the Extension enters your saved details into matching fields on the page you are viewing and attaches your resume to resume upload fields. The Extension never submits a form for you.

Once your details are entered into a form, they are part of that web page in the same way as if you had typed them yourself. The website you are applying on can access them, and what it does with them is governed by that website's own privacy policy. Please review each application before you submit it.

To recognize job application pages, the Extension runs on the web pages you open in Chrome. On pages other than jobs.lycos.com it looks, on your device only, for signs of a job application form, such as a resume upload field or a known hiring system. If it finds one, it shows the Autofill button and a small "JOB" badge on the Extension's toolbar icon.

On jobs.lycos.com it does one thing: if you are signed in, it requests your own profile and resume from your Lycos Jobs account and saves them in your browser. The Extension does not collect, store or transmit the content of the pages you visit, the addresses of those pages, or your browsing history. Its only network requests are these requests to jobs.lycos.com for your own information, and it loads no code from the internet.

The Extension requests one Chrome permission, "storage," which it uses to save your profile, your resume and your setting on your device.

Because your information never leaves your device through the Extension, we do not receive it, and we cannot see, sell, rent or share it. Specifically, the Extension:

• does not sell or transfer your information to third parties;
• does not use or transfer your information for purposes unrelated to filling in job application forms;
• does not use or transfer your information to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes;
• does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, analytics or tracking technologies.

Your information stays in your browser until you remove it. You can remove it at any time in either of these ways:

• Open the Extension's profile page and click "Delete all my data."
• Uninstall the Extension from Chrome, which removes everything it stored.

Because we do not hold a copy, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Deleting your data in the Extension does not delete your Lycos Jobs account or the resume stored there. To delete those, contact us as described in the Lycos Jobs Privacy Policy.

Your information is protected by the security of your own device and your Chrome profile. Anyone who can use your Chrome profile on your device may be able to open the Extension and see what you saved, so we recommend locking your device and not saving your details in the Extension on a shared or public computer.

The Extension is intended for people applying for jobs and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and the Extension does not send information to us from any user.

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if the Extension gains new features. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change affects how your information is handled, we will also describe it in the Extension's listing on the Chrome Web Store.
